Patient Privacy Campaign in the USA

I received an interesting email today from "Patient Privacy Rights" in the USA. They are running a petition to lobby legislators in an attempt to stop pharmacies selling the prescription information about their patients to drug companies without the individual consent.

This is a growing and potentially effective campaigning strategy, which may reach some individuals traditional campaigning may not get to. I wonder if there is a UK equivalent?
