Wards on the BroadsOur boating holiday 15-22 July 2000 |
We hired our boat from Richardson's of Stalham via Hoseasons, and set off on a wet and windy saturday to explore the Norfolk Broads
Several evenings (including my birthday) were spent at the Fur & Feather, Woodforde's Brewery Tap in Woodbastwick and over a few evenings mannaged to sample all of their brews (very nice they are too). |
Feeding the ducks at Salhouse Broad (my first picture with my new camera) |
One day while moored at Upton we took the kids to great Yarmouth and visited the Sealife Centre
On others we mucked about on the boat & bought ice cream, travelling from Wroxham to Potter Higham, where we were unable to enter hickling bridge because the high tides stopped our boat getting under the bridge. The broads seemed quite busy to us but others told us that it was quieter than in previous years.
