Fanny's Cottage A fortnight staying at Fanny's Cottage in Loxhore, walking and visiting the beach with friends.
Local views and walks were great (it is just off Emoor) but a bit of a drive down country lanes to the beach.
We visited various local pubs etc and can throughly recommend the pies and sausages from Exmoor Sizzlers in the local village of Bratton Fleming.
Trips out included the Exmoor Steam railway with Natalie & Zoe and Exmoor Zoo with Rebecca, Patrick and Natalie, where we saw otters being fed.

Exemoor steam railway
sand castle We spent several days on beaches including Saunton & Westwood Ho! but mostly at Putsborough with Lyn, Dave, Jack, Josh, Aly, Katie & Danni. Some of the time was spent building sandcastles but most was devoted to catching waves.
We also went for a variety of walks, picnics etc on Exmoor & (as in this photo) to the valley of the rocks near Lynton Valley of the Rocks
Lynton lift We also did a day trip to Lynton & Lynmouth which included a trip on the cliff railway and a walk up a valley of waterfalls where hydroelectric power is generated. The valley also shows details of the 1952 flood.
