SOCIAL ACTIVITIES & EVENTS
These reports are written on the fly during the conference and posted on the web on a daily(ish) basis.
The conference venue is well appointed & even the first coffee was complementary !
I'm staying at the Scotia House Hotel which is small and friendly & directly opposite the conference venue
| On the Monday evening I was invited to the reception organised by the HC2001 & Medinfo 2001 organising committees at the Majestic Hotel, this reception was addressed by the mayor of Harrogate & included guests from all over the world. I spent most of the time with Bob Gann (Help for Health Trust, Centre for Health Information Quality, NHS Direct Online etc) & Veronica Fraser (NHS Libraries advisor) putting the world to rights ! |
| This was followed by a buffet supper at the Moat House Hotel which provided an opportunity for informal discussion with friends old and new. |
Tuesday night was the dinner with entertainment from a magician, the cosmic sausages, the blues brothers tribute band & another band + fake gambling
Even the organising committee let their hair down - so identify the characters below;
