The beaches on Lanzarote are varied from black sand to golden and from
commercial to hiden and deserted & we tried many of them.
| Famara on the western coast was the beach
we retruned to most often. It provided spectacular surroundings, yellow sand
& SURF (plus a very dodgy road if you continue past the main beach to the
nudist area !) |

| Papgayo on the southern coast was a
sheletered cove with golden beaches & a view of Fuerteventura |

| La Caleta or Caleta del Mojon Blanco or
Caleton Blanco - we're not sure of the name of this beach! we were just
driving along the road to Orzola when we spotted delightful little coves which
were almost deserted and proved a great place for snorkelling |
